Pool Safety Covers

Protection for your family and your pool.

A safety cover does more than keep debris out of your pool. It is designed to support weight and prevent accidental entry, protecting children, pets, and anyone who might wander too close. Maxc Solutions measures, orders, and installs custom-fitted safety covers built to last.

Why a safety cover

Here is what a safety cover actually does for you.

Child and pet safety

Safety covers are engineered to support significant weight. They prevent accidental falls into the pool, which a standard tarp cover cannot do.

Debris protection

Keep leaves, branches, dirt, and animals out of your pool during the off-season. A clean pool under the cover means a faster, easier opening in the spring.

Reduces maintenance

Less debris means less strain on your filter, less chemical use, and less time spent cleaning when you open in spring.

Extends pool life

By keeping UV light, debris, and harsh weather off your pool surfaces, a safety cover helps protect the liner, plaster, or fibreglass finish and extends the life of your pool.

Our process

Every safety cover we install is custom-fitted to your pool. Here is how it works.

01

Measure

We take precise measurements of your pool, including any custom shapes, steps, water features, or obstacles. These measurements are used to order a cover that fits your pool exactly.

02

Custom order

We order your cover from a trusted manufacturer based on your measurements and your choice of material. You pick the colour and we handle the rest. Typical lead time is two to four weeks.

03

Professional installation

We drill and set the brass anchors into your deck, fit the cover, and make sure every spring and strap is properly tensioned. The result is a cover that sits flat, tight, and secure.

Mesh vs. solid covers

Both types are safety-rated and built to support weight. The main difference is how they handle water and light.

Mesh Safety Covers

Mesh covers allow rain and snowmelt to filter through into the pool while blocking leaves and debris. They are lighter, easier to handle, and do not require a cover pump.

Advantages

  • No standing water on top, no cover pump needed
  • Lighter and easier to install and remove
  • Generally more affordable
  • Longer lifespan (typically 10 to 15 years)

Trade-offs

  • Water may be slightly green when you open in spring
  • Fine dust and pollen can pass through the mesh

Solid Safety Covers

Solid covers block everything: water, light, and debris. They keep your pool water cleaner over the winter, but they require a cover pump to remove rain and snowmelt from the surface.

Advantages

  • Pool water stays cleaner and clearer over winter
  • Blocks sunlight completely, preventing algae growth
  • Faster, easier spring opening
  • No fine debris gets into the water

Trade-offs

  • Requires a cover pump to remove standing water
  • Heavier and slightly more difficult to handle
  • Typically shorter lifespan than mesh (7 to 11 years)

Precision fit, professional install

A safety cover is only as good as its fit and installation. We measure your pool carefully, accounting for every curve, step, and obstacle. A properly measured cover fits tight with no gaps. Anchors are drilled cleanly, springs are properly tensioned, and the cover sits flat and secure. We do not rush installations.

We help you choose between mesh and solid, explain the trade-offs, and make sure you are happy with your decision before we order.
